Admission Procedure Eligibility : A citizen of India who has passed B.A./B.Sc. degree examination of Bangalore University or any University in India or abroad recognized, as equivalent through 10+2+3 pattern of education obtaining 50% of marks in aggregate of all the subject he/she has studied for 3 years in eligible for admission to B.Ed. Course. Minimum marks for the purpose of eligibility in the case of SC/ST, Category –I and physically Handicapped candidates shall be 45% provided: He/She has studied atleast any ONE of the following languages and TWO of the electives specified below. Language : Kannada, English, Hindi, Urdu, Marathi and Sanskrit. Electives : History, Political Science, Sociology, Geography, Economics, Philosophy, Psychology, Physics, Chemistry, Botany, Zoology, Geology, Mathematics, English, Kannada, Hindi, Urdu, Marathi, Sanskrit, Micro Biology, Bio-Technology, Computer Science, Electronics, Statistics. (In case of B.A., He/She shall have studied History as one of the electives at the degree level) Note: Candidates shall have studied any two of the electives specified for all the three years. Candidates who have obtained to degree in B.A./B.Sc., from the Universities situated out side Karnataka State, shall have studied in addition to language subject atleast TWO elective subjects in their 3 year course of study in B.A./B.Sc., by appearing in ONE: subject in the University examinations for the atleast TWO years and in the principal subject for all the 3 years. If there is any change of subject in any of the 3 year course of study, such candidates shall not be eligible for admission to B.Ed.
